The boys and girls have most definitely improved their cycling skills thanks to Cycling Ireland coach Ulick . They really enjoyed the cycling sessions on Fridays and we hope that they put their newly acquired skills, tips and safety practises into action.

As the students of the senior classes have been learning about the famine there was no better place to visit other than the Skibbereen Heritage Centre. 5th and 6th class students were lucky to have parent and local historian Margaret Murphy share her vast knowledge with the children and guide them around the centre.
The boys and girls in 5th and 6th class had an orienteering event in Liss Ard Estate to look forward to after the Easter break. They used all of their orienteering skills acquired so far to navigate around the beautiful grounds of the estate. A special thanks to Steve Perkins for organising such an enjoyable event.
Well done to the boys who competed in the FAI Primary School 5s in Musgrave Park. They were wonderful ambassadors for Drinagh NS and we are very proud of the way in which they represented our school. The boys had great support from their classmates too and a special thanks to soccer coach Ken Kingston for his help and guidance.
Best of luck to everyone taking part in the Darkness into Light walk in aid of Pieta House. We hope the candles will light up the walk as you raise funds for such a worthy cause.
We finished off our term on a high at Drinagh NS with our annual Easter raffle.Well done to all the winners and thank you to everyone who contributed. A special well done to all the boys and girls who worked so hard over the past term. We would like to wish you all a happy Easter and we look forward to seeing you all again for our final term which is always a busy one filled with lots of enjoyable activities.
The boys and girls took part in a range of activities in Drinagh NS to celebrate Seachtain na Gaeilge. Our whole school céilí with Mrs. French was definitely one of the highlights.Take a look at the videos of our céilí to spot some great dancing and lots of fun!
The boys and girls in junior and senior infants really enjoyed this baking activity as part of their study of food in SPHE. The end product looked delicious!!
Well done to the boys and girls in 4th, 5th and 6th class who took part in the FAI soccer 5 a side competition. The girls demonstrated their fantastic soccer skills and the boys showed great determination to progress to the next round. A special thanks to soccer coaches Mike Doolan and Ken Kingston for all their hard work and dedication. |
