As the students of the senior classes have been learning about the famine there was no better place to visit other than the Skibbereen Heritage Centre. 5th and 6th class students were lucky to have parent and local historian Margaret Murphy share her vast knowledge with the children and guide them around the centre.
The boys and girls in 5th and 6th class had an orienteering event in Liss Ard Estate to look forward to after the Easter break. They used all of their orienteering skills acquired so far to navigate around the beautiful grounds of the estate. A special thanks to Steve Perkins for organising such an enjoyable event.
Well done to the boys who competed in the FAI Primary School 5s in Musgrave Park. They were wonderful ambassadors for Drinagh NS and we are very proud of the way in which they represented our school. The boys had great support from their classmates too and a special thanks to soccer coach Ken Kingston for his help and guidance.
Best of luck to everyone taking part in the Darkness into Light walk in aid of Pieta House. We hope the candles will light up the walk as you raise funds for such a worthy cause.
