The primary school curriculum provides a comprehensive learning experience for the child.  It is designed to nurture the child in all dimensions of life – spiritual, moral, cognitive, emotional, imaginative, social and physical. The curriculum is presented in seven areas which are subdivided into subjects.

• Languages: English and Irish
• Mathematics
• Social, environmental and scientific education (SESE): History, Geography, Science
• Physical Education
• Social, Personal and Healthy Education (SPHE)
• Religious Education

It is an important goal of the curriculum to enable the children to learn how to learn, and to foster an appreciation of the value of lifelong learning in the modern world.
