Talent Show Thursday was a huge success as part of Drinagh NS Wellness Week. It showcased our students’ wonderful talents, skills, and individuality. The enthusiastic audience filled the room with applause for the fantastic performers, who amazed us with everything from soccer skills and gymnastics to dance, singing, jokes, and even science experiments! Well done to everyone who took part — your confidence, creativity, and courage made it a wonderful show.

To promote our wellbeing, we made the most of every opportunity to get outside, stay active, and enjoy some fresh air. We took part in some brilliant Wake Up Shake Ups led by Mr. Cronin, which were full of energy and fun! The senior classes also did a wonderful job leading games, helping everyone stay active while building teamwork and school spirit.
We really enjoyed Pancake Tuesday oraganised by Mrs O’Mahony and the senior classes.
We were so grateful to sit down with our friends and enjoy freshly made pancakes using Mrs O’Mahony’s wonderful recipe. Thank you to everyone involved for such a lovely treat! Each Wednesday, older pupils are paired with younger children to read together. The older students take on the role of reading buddies — helping with tricky words, listening carefully, and encouraging their younger partners to build confidence.
A huge well done to all the boys and girls who performed so brilliantly for the audience at Cork Airport, and heartfelt thanks to the parents and extended families who came to support our talented performers.
The Junior Room have had a busy and enjoyable November, striking a lovely balance between hard work and fun. It has been a positive month filled with progress, creativity, and plenty of smiles.
To celebrate Maths Week, the classes showed off their maths knowledge by taking part in a fun Maths Hunt. Working in groups, they solved a variety of maths problems before finishing with a “make a number with your bodies” competition. It was a great way for the children to demonstrate their skills and share their enthusiasm for maths!
