A big thank you to the wonderful Rapid Response volunteers who visited us at Drinagh NS today. They were so kind and answered all our questions. We learned so much about how they help people in emergencies in our community.

We had a fantastic fortnight leading up to St. Patrick's Day, celebrating all things Irish for Seachtain na Gaeilge. Students from 1st to 6th class took part in a tráth na gceist, while 2nd, 3rd, and 4th class showcased their finest outfits in a seó faisin. Mrs. French also taught céilí dancing, adding to the festive spirit.
We wrapped up the celebrations with Lá Glas, where the children enjoyed dancing, took part in a treasure hunt as Gaeilge and held a special Gaeilgóir na Seachtaine presentation. It was a wonderful way to celebrate our language and culture. A big go raibh míle maith agat to Mr. Collins for his fantastic brush dancing demonstration and for teaching us all some great skills. Congratulations to Eoghan, Ellie, Mia, and Eddie on winning the Gaeilgóir na Seachtaine prize! They made a fantastic effort to use their Gaeilge as much as possible. Maith sibh! 😊
