The above is the school calendar for the school year 2020/2021. However, please note that in the case of unforeseen circumstances these dates may change. Where possible you will be notified well in advance of any changes.
Also, please bear in mind that all children absent from school for 20 or more days in the school year, by law, will have to be reported to the National Education Welfare Board.
We wish to remind you that the school opens to receive pupils at 9:10am. No responsibility is accepted for pupils arriving before that time.
Drinagh village is situated about 8 miles from Dunmanway town and approximately 10 miles from Skibbereen. Our school is well located giving the pupils a wide choice of secondary schools when choosing a school to continue their education.
The school is a Catholic school under the patronage of the Bishop of Cork and Ross. The staff consists of three mainstream teachers including the principal, 1 full time Special education teacher, 1 shared special education teacher and 3 special needs assistants.
We strive to give all our pupils a broad-based education which prepares them not only for 2nd and 3rd level education, but for life, through a happy, creative and fulfilling school environment.
